What a wonderful day out at Tanque Verde Elementary School (that started off with snow falling on us as we unloaded the truck!) Hanging out with the 6th graders was so much fun! We talked all about different creatures found in our oceans and had the chance to show our great ocean artifacts! we could have stayed and talked all day! Looking forward to coming back soon!

It was so amazing! I learned about the different types of shells, fish, and sharks. I also learned that jellyfish are sea jellies. Sean was funny and he taught me about what lives in a shell and that shark attacks are super rare.

Thank you so much Shaun! I was super impressed with your presentation. Now I’m more afraid of coconut trees and coke machines then I am afraid of sharks in the ocean. I love all of the seashells especially the melon. I learned that instead of saying jellyfish you say sea jelly and instead of saying starfish you say sea star.

I thought the presentation was spectacular! I think itis cool how he brought his discoveries from the ocean to the class. I wished that he could stay longer, we learned a lot of thing while he was there I hope we could see more objects he finds. I thought that he was very kind to let us handle the things he showed us. He was very funny sometimes serious, I can tell is very kid friendly and I would love to see him in the school with new things he found!

    Dear Shaun
I really enjoyed the presentation, usually I would think something like that would be boring, but you made learning fun, like you would acually let us touch things instead of just looking at the things, and when you showed us a kind of animal you would say it with enthusiasm insted of, this is a mellon crab shell. Hey, no touching!!!!!!!!!!
    I really appreciate you coming.

I was really amazed by how you told us how BIG snails could get.My FAVORITE is the part where you let everybody hold the sponge and the shells. I was mostly amazed by the whale rib. And I will never forget the narwal tooth. Hope you come back some time before this school year is over. You were very funny. Once again hope you come back before this school year is over.
