  • Coronado Middle School – Tucson, Az
  • 6th grade, 200 students
  • “Our Amazing Oceans”

The students at Coronado were stuck with me all day!

Oh Man! What a great day! Spent the whole day at Coronado and saw 7 different classes! We explored the ocean and showed its amazing wildlife to so many kids! I know they left each presentation looking at the ocean in a new light! It was awesome seeing my old friend Stacy Merrill from the U of A (anothe Marine Science lover)! Thanks for setting it all up! Next year will be amazing, looking forward to it already!

It was truly an amazing day! Many of the students identified this as their favorite part of the whole year. This is a great opportunity for students in the desert to become excited and informed about life in the oceans. It is a great way to begin or end a unit of study and the students become very involved right from the start with Shaun’s energy and excitement. I have had many presentations in my classes and this was the best yet.
