We will be returning to Quail Creek for a presentation to the Men’s democratic Club! We impressed to Women of Quail Creek enough that the guys wanted to see our presentation and do their best to help support us as well! We will be discussing the Fin Foundation, our history, current happenings and where we are going as a marine science education group! We will be doing a raffle as well for a few of our matted underwater photos! We had such a great time when we were last there that we are really looking forward to this event!

The Fin Foundation spent the entire day at Flowing Wells Middle School presenting to all of the 7th grade science classes! What a great experience for all of us! We used the auditorium and were able to use the overhead projector to show our wonderful underwater photography (using donated work from professional photographers at our sister website www.finfoundationimages.com). The students all had a great time as we shared ocean artifacts like our whale rib bone, sea shells, and shark jaws! They listened to facts about our oceans and the great organisms found there! We spent time answering questions and discussing how to keep our oceans healthy! The Flowing Wells School District should be very proud of all that they are doing in their middle school!  Love  it!

The Fin Foundation spoke to a group of high school students today at Pueblo High! The small group of exceptional education students were amazing! The students were engaging, kind, and helpful! They asked lots of questions as we went through the various animals found in the ocean! We enjoy coming out to the high schools and getting the chance to reach some of the older students in our community! We hope to come back to Pueblo soon!

We love presenting to younger children and Cottonwood reminded us why! The children were so excited to have us at their school, sharing the ocean with them, and just having a fun morning! The kids were focused and we kept their attention for the whole hour (not always an easy task when working with 3 year olds!) The Fin Foundation is committed to teaching kids starting at this age the importance of our oceans! we look forward to coming back next year!

What a wonderful experience! Our first time presenting to a home school organization and it was AWESOME! We had a large group of students attend at Grace Community Church where The Fin Foundation was able to share information about the ocean, pass around artifacts, and discuss questions that the students had regarding marine life and conservation issues! All of the students were really alert and well mannered! And we had a great compliment when one of the parents came up to us afterwards and said she had had brought a book to read while her child attended the presentation but that she never read any of it because we were much more interesting! We look forward to future presentations with this group!
