ng2nd presentation at Desert Christian High School this semester! Love going in and working in the marine science class! This time around we focused on the mammals and that was loads of fun! trying to pick out the right information to share and the right artifacts to go along with the info is a challenge! The students were amazing (even the 3 boys up front!) and I am looking forward to coming back next year! Thanks Meg!

Reid Park Zoo, Polar Bears, and the skull!

Over 20 inches long and 12 inches high!

As part of our “Partners in Education”  with the Reid Park Zoo, we have been working hard to educate people about the Polar Bear and the struggles they are going through to survive in the wild… The Zoo recently purchased a REPLICA (smart educational practice – never promoting the market for real marine mammal bones) of a Polar Bear skull for the Fin Foundation to use in presentations in schools and at the zoo! It has already made a huge impact on the students as their eyes light up and the “ohhhs” and “ahhhss” are heard the moment the skull is shown! It is a wonderful teaching tool and one that will be treasured!
