Love going out to Desert Christian High School! Mrs. Chandler’s marine science class is a great model for ocean studies in the desert! The kids are well read, get lots of hands on experience in the lab, and travel to Catalina and even have the chance to learn how to scuba dive! Amazing! We are happy to come out to talk about sharks each year and this year was really fun! Lots of great questions at the end of “Shark School!” I see a lot of great futures in those kids!

What a fun day! We had a great group of 1st graders who were so excited to see all of the shells and other ocean artifacts we brought out! Each time a new bigger shell was brought out, the “ooohs” and “Aaaahs” just got louder! Love it!
The hour went by so quickly that I had to rush through some of the last items but vow to make it back next year and ask for an hour and a half! 🙂
Thanks to the great teachers at this wonderful school in Vail for reaching out to me so I could share the Ocean with their kids!
