Oyama Elementary School – “Shark School!”

We went back to Oyama Elementary School today to talk about sharks! The students are going to San Diego tomorrow as part of their OCEAN unit and will get to see SEAWORLD! Nice to be able to give them some additional information on sharks before they head over! Thanks to Ms. Fontes for always keeping us in mind to help! 🙂

Gale Elementary School – “Our Amazing Oceans!”

After a late start (Gale is on the FAAAAAAR east side of town!) we had a great time! Several classes all excited about the ocean unit they are working on! The Fin Foundation made a great bonus for them as we brought in all the artifacts that they couldn’t see otherwise! Love the teachers there for working so hard to give their students such a good science background!

Great presentation at Laguna today! We focused on SHARKS for the hour and 15mins! The kids asked lots of great questions and didn’t want to stop when I had to leave! So cool seeing young people so interested in these amazing creatures!

A great day spent at Wakefield talking to middle school science students! We did multiple presentations and got to hear from some really interesting kids! The students all had a great time and learned a great deal about our oceans, the environmental issues we are facing, and what can be done about them!
