The Fin Foundation had a great meeting with the people at SEALIFE Aquarium in Tempe on Thursday! In addition to getting a full tour of the Aquarium (including the behind the scenes look and shark feeding!), we began talks about ways to get Tucson schools up to see this great resource! Hopefully, TFF and SEALIFE will be teaming up in the near future to help schools and organizations across the Southwest see some amazing ocean wildlife LIVE and CLOSE UP! Additionally, TFF hopes to be helping to run SEALIFE Aquariums outreach program to reach even more people in the Phoenix area! Keep your eyes open as we progress with this partnership!

Providence Memorial Hospital – El Paso, Texas
Wonderful news! The Fin Foundation has partnered up with Providence Memorial Hospitals in El Paso , Texas! We will be working with their Children’s Hospital in several ways to benefit their patients, families and the entire El Paso community! First off will be working to update their “Oceanville” floor where they have some great ocean art! We will be adding educational components to the unit so children and their families can learn about ocean wildlife! We will be using photography, graphics, and aquariums to make this a great environment for them during their stay!
Then we will be conducting presentations 4 times a year at the hospital that will be open to the community! The hospital is committed to giving back to the community and being a place for more than just health services and recovery! They are going to be active in their education outreach and the Fin Foundation is going to be helping as much as we can!
We look forward to a great relationship with this partner and are grateful for the chance to share more ocean education with people of the Southwest!

What an amazing group of community activists! Had the pleasure of listening to their accomplishments this before my presentation began… sending donations to our troops overseas, aiding a shelter for battered women… truly an amazing group! Oh, and they love the oceans too!:)
Presented information about The Fin Foundation and all that we do to spread ocean awareness and conservation! We also talked about the foundation and its goals. The group was very supportive and we were honored to be asked to present to them!
Thank you to Ron and Charlene for their work to introduce us to the group! And to Peter and Jan for volunteering to help out!

The Fin Foundation presented to a group of really awesome middle school girls this afternoon! these girls have been participating in a program that encourages them to stay in the science field as grow older. They have been exploring lots of different science areas (spent all day Thursday at Raytheon) and ended their last day of camp looking into the marine sciences! So honored to have had the chance to share some of our information with them! The students were really engaged and interested in the ocean artifacts! There were lots of great questions as well that we enjoyed answering! We are in good shape if these young women go on in science!
