Thanks to Paul and Adrian for helping out!

What a great night! We rushed from El Paso straight to the Ocotillo Science Night! We had our 9ft Tiger shark in tow and the kids loved seeing it up close! They were also given the chance to have their picture taken with the White shark jaws! The kids came into our area in small numbers and learned about shark science! There were some really great kids and many had parents there who were just as interested in the stuff we were talking about!

Great White Jaws and our new friend!

Great White Jaws and our new friend!

We had a great time getting to know the principal as well, and enjoyed his energy and willingness to get his picture taken also!

We will hopefully get back to Ocotillo Elementary soon and give some of the classes the full Fin Foundation experience!

The kids loved the new fiberglass tiger shark we have been given use of (thanks to the Dive Shop!) and oh’d and ahh’d at all of the shells, teeth, and bones that we had for them to see!

Thanks to Mrs. Cece and Greg Deitch for their efforts to get us into their school!

This will be an amazing day for all of us! I cant wait!

Gridley Middle School

Gridley Middle School

separate presentations today at Gridley Middle School on the far east side of town! Loved working with the middle school aged kids as we were able to bump up the science a little as we taught them about the ocean and the creatures found in the waters all over our planet! Both classes were very enthusiastic (as was the teacher! Great to see!) and seemed to get a lot from our talk! The students, no matter what age they are, get so much from seeing the ocean artifacts up close! The seashells, the shark jaws, the whale bones… love sharing that with them! We look forward to coming back soon!

learning all about fish and their friends!

Our 2nd day at Cottonwood and we had another great presentation! Michael again lead the presentation and had the kids laughing and learning all about our oceans and all the amazing creatures! The students had loads of questions as they opened up their minds to take in all the information! We are always amazed at how these kids think and see things in new ways! We enjoyed seeing the principal stopping by the class to see the presentation! We look forward to coming back for another talk soon! Thank you Mrs. Schrantz for getting us into Cottonwood!
